People all over the world are freelancing from home. They don’t get happier without careful planning. Are you interested in the life-changing opportunity of earning “no work income” anywhere? If so, take the time to increase your chance of happiness right from the start through job shaping. That’s when you reinvent your job to really suit you…instead of trying (or pretending) to reshape yourself to fit the job.
Among the many freelancing opportunities, Fiverr.com is one of the true giants. Most job preparations through Fiverr are solely focused on making money – which is important, and the point of freelancing! But it’s a pretty big deal, but money was never the point.
Evolution is counting on you to surpass the previous generation.
We humans are complex creatures with many hopes and needs at the same time. We have social needs, psychological needs, identity issues, and a desire to be better than we are capable of. After all, we are moving in new and different directions and leading the way. If you’re freelancing to supplement your income, all other necessities, goals, and values should be “on hold” while you’re at work. Design your freelancing from scratch to enrich your wallet.
As a psychologist, I want to help you make money in a way that directly improves your life. The main reason we do something is because we think it will make us feel better or happier. Money often makes us happier, but money alone is not enough. Focusing only on income can starve us emotionally. Once the basic needs for survival are met, humans must also learn and grow, express their inner potential and connect with their fellow human beings. It’s not always easy to connect with creatures as complex and challenging as us humans, but we are very social animals and we need each other.
“Whether you are rich or poor, it is always good to have money”
This is what my grandfather used to say. Now I see that earning this money in creative ways will further enrich your life, which is better than just having money. Figure out what matters most to you first, then design your work to make you feel better and happier doing it. You can do a job you love, even if it’s a side hustle. Sometimes you can make money from your favorite skills and hobbies. You can always develop new skills and practice them on Fiverr until you’re good enough to compete elsewhere. It’s exactly what I did. Now I record my own online courses using those voiceover techniques that help me achieve my greater purpose.
You can even pre-test your idea for a small business by experimenting with the process as a Fiverr gig. This allows you to build a fan base, develop your skills and improve your business model, all at no risk and at no cost to you. Whatever your financial goals, cater to your higher needs while paying the bills. Enjoy your work, enjoy the feeling it gives you and enjoy the money too!
Three things will make you a “Fiverr Thrirr”:
1. Learn to master their systems.
2. Choose jobs that match your talents and passions.
3. Continuously improve their capabilities and services.
Create your freelance work to express your dreams.
In a crisis, survival is enough, but I encourage you to build a stable freelance income based on work that you wholeheartedly choose and value – work that in itself can enrich all of your life .
Most people won’t get rich from an online home business (unless you think doing a job you love is a fortune in itself). In fact, there are many well-documented stories of freelancers using their Fiverr side income to buy houses, cars, boats, and more. So don’t expect to get rich, but don’t rule it out!
Most people can earn a decent amount of side income on Fiverr. After setting up their “gig” (or service) for sale, the google a lot of skills and Fiverr lists all of their sellers in that skill category on the first page, which might include you.
Since Fiverr sellers completely design their own gigs, freelancing offers you a rare opportunity in life to choose what you love to do. Perhaps you can offer a skill or talent that has never had an audience before. Perhaps you can develop and demonstrate new skills that will open new doors for you. Whichever path you choose, doing a job you love will enrich your life in ways that a job that isn’t a good fit never will. I encourage you to clarify your heart’s desires and make your work to enrich your life to the best of your ability! (And some bills to pay.)
